22.06.2009, Monday
I went to church with June and Jun Tian in the morning to study. We had lunch together before I headed to City Hall to help out in the Asian Youth Games.
It feels so good to be volunteering for the Asian Youth Games. Helping out at Swissotel The Stamford was great fun and being at the hotel itself is already a prestige. Good food was served to the volunteers during meal times.

I was studying at McDonald’s for the whole day.

Happy Birthday June.
Cycling in the rain was quite fun. A total distance of about 20km from East Coast Park all the way to Changi Village and back was covered. We were drenched from head to toe when we arrived at the bicycle kiosk. The uncle there made things worse, but I shall not talk about it. The day ended off with steamboat dinner and cake cutting.

Two hours of Asian Youth Games duty for today. In the afternoon, I went to meet Jacelyn and June to study at McDonald’s before going to Kia Wei’s house to continue studying.

I had a boring day at the Asian Youth Games Village. There was nothing much to do. The food for lunch was quite good though.

Asian Youth Games Village seems to get a little more crowded since the first day I came to volunteer. I got to know a few volunteers during my duty and realised that there are many students like me helping out too.

My bag is almost packed and ready for tomorrow.

First day of UMAD 7 was boring. At least my group got all the cheers ready.

The power boat refresher course was worth going despite the time spent on travelling.

UMAD 7 special night was full of dances and laughter. Many hidden talents were revealed.
19.06.2009, Friday
UMAD 7 is finally over. My family ate at Crystal Jade for dinner and I really like the food there.

Arrow service was full of praise and worship. Pastor Gabriel touched on the topic 'The Father’s Love', reminding us of God’s love for us. I really love my church. I managed to get all the Hillsong tickets after queuing up four times. Benjamin and his friends came to help me get some too.

Singapore International Water Festival was held at Marina Barrage. Being my first time there, I spent my free time walking around the place exploring it. The scenery from the top of the barrage is very beautiful as it features the Singapore Skyline. Lindsay was there too as her school team was involved in the dragon boat race.

My group had project meeting in the morning till afternoon. We got quite a lot of work done.

Project completion is on the way.

Good gym work out followed by a good run. Project meeting also went on well in the afternoon.

Running with leg weights on is not a good idea.

Projects, projects, projects. So many more things to do.

Travelling to Yishun early in the morning for Asian Youth Games training was not a good thing to do. Thank goodness the training ended earlier than expected. For lunch, I met up with Chester to eat at Just Noodles. After that, we went window shopping before going home.

The Zone 2009 Youth Conference

Unofficial holiday starts tomorrow.
02.06.2009, Tuesday
First day of the 21st Singapore Laser Trophy, but no race was held because there was no wind. My team mates and I spent the time talking and taking photos. After keeping the equipment, we went to the John Little Mega Sale. This is my second time there and I bought a shirt. Singapore Food Expo was located just next door and there were many great looking foods for sale. We went around trying out many varieties of food.

Five races were squeezed into one day. I am already feeling drained and there are three more days of competition left.

Four races were held. Although it is not as energy draining as yesterday, my body is already experiencing cramps.
05.06.2009, Friday
The travelling time of about one hour and forty five minutes to and from school is really irritating me. I only went to school for about twenty minutes to take a test. Imagine the time wasted.
Two races for today and one more race for tomorrow.

The one and only race was held even though the wind was so light.

Daddy and mummy will be back from Sarawak tonight.

A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said. “God, I would like to know what heaven and hell are like.” God led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked inside. In the middle of the room was a large round table with a large pot of stew on it. It smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were sickly, thin, and appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. However, the handle was longer than their arms, so they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.
The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. God said, “What you have seen is hell.” They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. In the middle of the room was a large round table with a large pot of stew on it. The people were equipped with the same long handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished, laughing, and talking. The holy man said, “I do not understand.”
“It is simple.” said the Lord. ”It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other while the greedy think only of themselves.”
