29.12.2008, Monday

First day of the new school term. I am still trying to get into the study motion, but I can say that school is quite enjoyable from how I look at it. The coach was not present for the last bowling training of the year, so we had to train on our own. I bowled much better compared to the last training session. However, I still have to work on my spares, especially on the single pin spares. It seems that it is the only problem that keeps me from getting 200 pinfalls and above.

I signed up to be a volunteer for the Volvo Ocean Race after being one of the selected members from my sailing club. I have to be on duty for quite a number of days. Whatever it is, I just want the experience of being part of this prestigious event.

31.12.2008, Wednesday

Two hours of lecture was all I went to school for. After that, I headed down to Daryl’s house to run with him before going home to prepare for tonight’s Overnight Prayer Meeting. I am going to write my testimony just about now.

01.01.2009, Thursday

Sharing felt so good when it is all over, but the process of it made me very nervous. While I was sharing my testimony and thanksgiving before the other youths, I was so afraid to face the crowd that I kept staring at the piece of paper which had my testimony written on it to hide my face from everyone. After I shared, I felt so relieved. I hope that my testimony will encourage the youths that were present and also let them know of God’s bountiful blessings.

02.01.2009, Friday

With project meeting scheduled at the eleventh hour, I have to go down to school even though I have no lessons. I went to school earlier to gym and met up with Jun Kai to collect my birthday invitation cards. I just want to thank Jun Kai for all his effort and hard work put into the designing of my birthday invitation card. Thanks a million.

03.01.2009, Saturday

Running early in the morning gives you a refreshing feeling. Chester, Daryl, and I, each ran 4km this morning. After that, I had breakfast with Chester at Bedok Hawker Centre, where I had fishball noodles. The food was delicious but it was not filling. There will be a barbeque at church for the youths tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

04.01.2009, Sunday

The Great Cook Out is not as great and it sounds. On the bright side, my group won the overall champion prize and we were awarded the highest number of points for team work. I love the food although it was not sufficient to ease my hunger. We had a wet day as it rained for awhile during the barbeque. Thank God the sky was clear again shortly after.
