Lessons were amazingly boring. I skipped bowling training due to my assignments.

One Degree 15 is so cool, especially the atmosphere, the place, and the luxurious boats berthed there. Located at one end of Sentosa Island, my sailing team and I had to meet at Poly Marina and travel all the way down to the place by power boat. The journey took about half an hour. I drove the power boat for awhile before letting my friend take over the wheel.
Being our first day of work, we were instructed to make anchors and lay them in the sea with the help of the staff there. The anchors were really heavy, weighing about 30kg each (excluding the weigh of the chains and shackles). We took the whole day to do just that before being allowed to go home. Jeremy gave eight of us a ride to the train station in his five seater car, where we had to squeeze just to get in. Thanks for the safe ride.

Back to school after a day at One Degree 15. Lessons were as per normal and I finally completed my Plant Design assignment and handed it in. Tomorrow till Sunday will be spent at One Degree 15, which is the venue for the Volvo Ocean Race. The open house for the event will be held tomorrow, while the races will start on Saturday. I am going to be very busy then.
08.01.2009, Thursday
The time spent at One Degree 15 is rather carefree as there is nothing much to do. The work assigned is quite simple at the moment. However, there will be lots of work to be done during the weekends.
09.01.2009, Friday
The in-port race will start tomorrow and that means it will be a busy day for me and my friends. I hope that there will be a chance to watch the race for awhile if time permits.
10.01.2009, Saturday
I had a busy day at One Degree 15. There were many boats and yachts disembarking and embarking throughout the day. There might be a chance that I can go out and watch the in-port race tomorrow if there is enough manpower for the day. I really hope that the chance will turn into reality.

It seems that the job is kind of relaxed compared to yesterday. I did not have to disembark and embark many boats or yachts because there was little movement in the marina.
