I skipped church yesterday because I had a bowling competition. When my team mates and I reached the bowling alley in the morning, we realised we were supposed to bowl in the afternoon. Therefore, we had no choice but to wait until the morning squad finish bowling before we can start our game. We waited for about two hours plus before going for lunch, then had our competition.

The competition level was very high and my team bowled next to the eventual champion girl’s team with a national bowler in it. All the pressure was on me because I could not get the strikes I used to get and my score was consistently low. My team also did not play very well. We could only celebrate for the team that played next to us as they were doing really well.

After the competition ended, my team mates and I headed home immediately as we did not dare to look at our position after such a lousy game. I hope in the next competition, my team and I can do much better. I went to church on my way home and played a few rounds of bridge with my church friends before heading home. I think I play bridge better than I bowl. Dinner was at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at East Coast Park. The food was really good. I like every dish there and I hope to eat there every week.
