March Day 15 Year 2008

Two weeks into my holidays and I have exactly one more month of holidays before I go back to school. I somehow feel very blessed and special, but I cannot explain the feeling. I feel special in God’s eyes probably after listening to the message at the Christian Growth Seminar at my church on Friday night. At first, I did not want to go for the sermon because I thought it would just be another boring sermon. However after the sermon, I just felt different. I seldom enjoy sermons, but the sermon by Pastor Daren Tay was definitely different. I hope this can be my turning point in my life and I can be used by God to serve others and also to shine for Him. I even took sermon notes which I do not normally do. I believe God will guide me through everything.

Early in the morning, I went to Hougang Superbowl for a bowling competition to represent my school. I did not play really well today except for the third game which I broke my personal record. I got 198, but I still could not get pass the 200 mark because I made two costly errors. I still thank God for giving me the perseverance and guidance throughout the bowling competition. I hope I will be able to bowl better tomorrow and probably break my personal record again.

After the bowling competition, I had lunch with one of my bowling team mate before rushing down to church for UMAD 5 games committee meeting. The meeting was quite casual, but I felt it went on quite well as we managed to come up with a few games in mind. I had cell group and I learnt about how God spoke to Balaam. God can speak to people in many ways and work in everyone no matter whether they are good or bad. This shows that nothing is impossible for God because he can simply work using anyone to do His mighty works. Cell group was especially fun because we all kept making jokes about the donkey in the bible. I will elaborate more on that tomorrow if I have the time.

My cell group then celebrated Daryl’s birthday and the cake was really delicious. After that, we went to Ronald’s house for his barbeque party. However, we ate dinner at Han’s café opposite his house because we were hungry and my cell group leader treated us to the food there. The food was good and value for money. Thank you Fu Wei, hope we can have more of this. Haha.

i will read my bible and pray just to follow you all day
