Early in the morning, my alarm clock woke me up but I got up and turn it off before going back to bed. After awhile, Chester called me and asked if I want to meet him on the way down to the city, as he will be passing there. I agreed and immediately got out of bed and prepared to get out of the house so that he will not be late and that I could also go for my drums day camp on time.
I was the first to reach the Dhoby Ghaut train station where I was supposed to meet my friends. They came shortly after and we all went to McDonald’s to eat our breakfast before heading to Wesley Methodist Church where the camp is held. After registration, the day started off with worship followed by a short sermon by a guest speaker.
After the sermon, we broke up into our various instrumental groups and were given an introduction lesson. Lunch was ready shortly after the introduction of the drums. The food came in packets and it was not bad, but not very good either. After lunch, we got to play the drums and the instructor guided us along. He was very patient with all of us and we found the lesson quite interesting.
The day went by and the worship team closed with another session of worship. I hope tomorrow I will be able to learn more about the drums and be able to learn new strokes.
I would also like to continue to pray for my friend even as his appeal is being considered by ACJC. I really hope that God will guide his path and that he will take my friend to the junior college He wants my friend to be in.
