Being the first day of Chinese New Year, I am very glad that the time of the year has finally arrived. This is one of my favourite festivals of the year besides Christmas. I started the day off by going to church to worship God. The message was in Chinese but there was also an English translation.

The speaker is the pastor in charge of the Chinese congregation. His message was very funny, especially when he was sharing about his experience in the hospital. Everyone kept laughing because of the way he put it. I can see that everyone really had a good time listening to the word of God.

After church service, my family went straight to my grandmother’s house for Chinese New Year visiting. I received a lot of red packets there. After that, I went to my relatives houses for visiting and also for lunch. My siblings and I played with my cousins some card games before we went home to rest.

In the evening, my family went to a friend’s house for steamboat dinner. I ate until I was very full before watching television at their house. I drove my family home after that, which was about ten. Luckily, the traffic was not heavy so we got home before ten thirty.
