February Day 17 Year 2007

Chinese New Year’s Eve. Most of the shops are closed that is why I chose to stay at home then to go out. This morning, I woke up at eight to drive my father to the market and to have breakfast together. We ate Kway Chap, which contains eggs, pig intestine, pig stomach and so on. I know it sounds gross but I think it is nice.

After buying all the groceries, I drove my father to another market near our house to get a chicken before driving home. At about ten thirty, I followed my mother to the bank to draw some money for myself.

After that, I went straight to church to help out in the worship practice for tomorrow. The worship team sang some Chinese songs as it will be Chinese New Year tomorrow. However, the worship practice took about three hours because they needed more practise on the Chinese songs. By the time they finished practising, it was already one thirty.

I went home for lunch and ate fish porridge. Yes, the fish my father and I bought from the market this morning, so the fish is very fresh. Tonight, my family will be eating reunion dinner to mark the eve of Chinese New Year or something like that. I cannot wait to eat all the Chinese New Year goodies and the red packets.
