I am so happy because I got a job that I very much wanted. However the company only wants me to start work on the fifth of March but I hoped to start work immediately. I do not know what to do during the one week before I can start work. Probably I will go out shopping with my friends if they are free or go bowling.

I was so surprised that the company did not call me down for an interview, but I did it over the telephone which took less than five minutes. The pay is six dollars an hour which is quite good and I do not have to work on weekends. This means that my Saturdays and Sundays are free and I can go and teach windsurfing on Saturdays, and go to church on Sundays plus spend time with my family.

I spent my whole morning at home playing computer and watching television. I know that is not very wise and I could have done something more interesting, but I just could not think of anything else to do. I did my job interview via the telephone right after my lunch when the company’s manager called before going to Bugis to meet my mother.

I met my mother there because she wanted to do some last minute New Year shopping. It was quite boring but I did not mind since I am free in the afternoon anyway. After shopping, we wanted to take a taxi home, but there were none in sight so we could only take a bus home. It was not too bad because there were only a few passengers on board.
