It is only like four days before my school’s bowling team selection and I think I am not fully prepared. I went for training on Monday and everyone seems to be performing better than me. We were practising on how to spare and it was quite difficult as a lot of accuracy was needed. A little deviation of the bowling ball could make a big difference on the lanes. I got a little frustrated at first as I kept hooking to the right too much, but soon I was able to control the ball much better.
Hitting pin numbers seven and ten was supposed to be the most difficult, but I was always hitting it and missing the pins in front. I think that’s rather weird for a bowler like me. The selection is going to be at my school’s bowling alley this Saturday and I really hope I will be able to get into the school team and represent the school in competitions at the end of the year.
Now I will just have to remember to focus on the correct arrows and stand at the right boards to ensure more accuracy. The main problem will be my ball control as I always tend to hook too much to the right, if not left. The pocket will be what I want to hit this Saturday and I hope I can do it consistently.
