Junior Colleges Open House

Yesterday was a Friday and it was really a good day as school ended early. I only had about one and a half hours of mathematics before school was dismissed. After that, my classmates and I went for a short brunch before going to the library to study. I studied Microbiology as I have a test coming up the following week and I had to prepare for it as I want to do well. I studied for about an hour or so before meeting my friends to go to Meridian Junior College’s open house.

Meridian Junior College was very far as it was in Pasir Ris and we were coming from the west. Luckily, the trip there was only about one hour plus by train. We went to White Sands to eat our lunch at the food court before going to the open house.

We took a direct bus there and it was quite crowded with many students from different secondary schools. The place was really noisy with many programmes put up by the students there. The students there also brought us around the college and showed us the facilities the college has.

In the late afternoon, my friends went to play basketball in the college while I talked to one of his friend. His friend was from Victoria Junior College and I was also not sure what he was doing there. He was quite friendly and we even went to the train station together and shared our experiences of college life with each other. This day was really great as I not only made new friends, but also got to enjoy a little bit of college life once again. I really cannot wait for next year's junior colleges open house, then I can go there again.
