Ever since I started windsurfing like two to three years ago with my school friends, I have been going out to the sea almost every Saturday and sometimes even on Sundays although I have church activities and cell group meetings. Although many people do not take up windsurfing as a sport in singapore, my friends and I really enjoy it. Windsurfing is also regarded as a high risk sport meaning that people can easily get injuries that may be fatal because of its nature. I am so glad my parents do not mind it as they know that I can take care of myself and not get into any trouble. However, every time I go windsurfing with my group of friends, most of the time I would come home with minor cuts usually on my hands, which I kind of gotten used to. It has been two years in a row that my secondary school won the championship in windsurfing and I am really proud to be part of the windsurfing team although the training is very tough, and my skin is becoming more tan even though I apply lots of sun block. Maybe the sun’s ultraviolet rays are too strong or the sun block is just lousy. Now, I just hope that my secondary school will be able to defend the championship next year so that we can keep the trophy for being champions three times consecutively. One day, I hope to be able to be a windsurfer that can do stunts and even fly into the air for a few seconds, which I think would be possible with more training.
