Grieving Souls, Happy Spirits

On the 17th of July 2005, Sunday. I experience God's powers and his wonders. Many people were flabbergasted about the incident that happened. First, the pastor was happily preaching. Next, he said a prayer that healed many of the people of their pains, whether is it emotionally or physically. This really showed many of the people who witnessed it felt God's power. A few of the people that were healed went up to share about how they felt initially and what happened after God touched them. Although not everyone was fully healed, they all still thanked God for his presence. However, soon there was a direct contrast, from the happiness to the sadistic part. As the pastor was preaching, he suddenly broke down and cried without any known reason. Silence filled the auditorium, and no one dare to speak a word. No matter how hard the pastor tried to continue his message, he soon broke out into tears again. This really thrown everyone into a state of confusion. I was curious about it and after service, I decided to find out more about the incident. Success immediately fall upon me, however, even though I was given a satisfactory answer, I felt depressed. I found that the pastor was not the one crying, but God. Nothing seemed wrong and everything was going well when it happened. I was told that God went into the pastor's body and used him to tell us his feelings about the church and us. This was known as the grieving of the holy spirit. From this incident, I was truly amazed that God is so powerful and that he is sad, and trying to tell not only us, but the church that we must stand united and be faithful to Him. We must continue to serve him wholeheartedly and always put him first in our lives.
