Eighteen of August is the day where many things happened and forgetting it would be a very difficult thing to do. It was the day of my GCE 'O' Level English Oral Examination, and also my mother's birthday. Both events were extremely important to me as the examination was a national examination, and my mother's birthday comes only once a year. I was very excited about this day, yet very nervous and stress about the examination. Although i worked very hard and did a lot of practice on it, I still lacked confidence. Upon entering the library, which was the examination hall, my heart pounded and the cool atmosphere made things worst by making me shiver in fear. Chills were sent down my spine and I could not stop myself from shivering. My friends around me were also cold, but they were more calm than I was. They told me to relax and some even told me to read a book or do something to keep myself calm. I was later given a book to read by one of my friends and surprisingly, it happened to be the bible. Calmly, opening the immense and rather heavy book, I stumbled upon a verse which greatly encouraged me. At this moment, I started to feel God's presence and warmth inside me. I later said a little prayer and this made me felt more calm and soon everything was all over. Although I was not very satisfied with my performance, rushing home to get my mother her birthday cake was the only thing on my mind after the examination. I went to cake shop straight after school just to get my mother her favourite tiramisu cake. Things all happened very smoothly on the day, and the weather was just right as the rain just stopped right after my examination. this ensured that i could get to the cake shop and home without any trouble.
